INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

Day 27 of my countdown to Paris, arriving on April 23! Today I am adding another category to my shopping list for all things French….industrial design. Industrial design is trending big right now. It is that warehouse look that exposes pipes, ductwork, original beams and brick. It has elements of stainless steel and metal with a minimalist utilitarian feel. Flip on HGTV to find Fixer Upper and watch Joanna Gaines of Magnolia do her industrial thing. What I love is mixing it with rustic farmhouse elements as Joanna does on her show. Rarely, can I find an industrial bottle rack at my regular antique and flea haunts here in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. So, I will also add this to my list of things for which to search. Here is another taller industrial bottle rack – love it!

Besides adoring these cute bottle racks, I appreciate other industrial design elements such as old iron crates, bins, signs even industrial storage cabinets. Galvanized, rusted, chipped….its all good. Here are a few other industrial inspirations:

I love this last picture because it is from Saint-Ouen, the world famous flea market in Paris!

Salut!
